Because of its functions, geotextile has a wide range of applications when it comes to drainage ditches, protection of geomembranes, reinforcement of road and railroad embankments, shoreline protection, river training, construction of artificial accumulations and similar. When it comes to road construction, for example, geotextiles prolong the exploitation period, because by limiting soil settlement, it prevents the formation of tire tracks and reduces the quantity of necessary inert material.
Thin structure produced by needlepunching technology or thermical bonding of long polymer fibres. Non-woven geotextile has a specific polymer content made of polypropelene fibre with polyethylene coating. Similar combination of polymer guarantees excellent characteristics of polipropilene in terms of strength and they also have great chemical and biological resistence of polyethylene. Geotextiles Typar® has isotropic behaviour, high puncture resistance, good drainage capacities and UV stability.
Woven geotextiles are produced in the conventional process of weaving of single fibres. At the end of the process a net-like structure is produced that is excellent for temporary reinforcement of the ground and for reinforcement of the soil with low load/bearing capacity.
