RENO® MATTRESS is a long and thin structure. It is made of a single panel that forms the base, walls of the basket and diaphragm. In order to close the mattress, separate "lid" panels are used or double twisted wire mesh in rolls. They are used for river bank and chanal lining and they can be used as a part of the gabion structure.

Because of the prooven hidraulic characteristics, for more then one century gabions and RENO mattresses are used for construction of chanels of natural and artificial flows. Their application is important also in river training, for longitudinal and cross fortification and also in shore-line construction.

Basic characteristics of these constructions:

• Reducing water-loss due to filtration;
• Improvement of the slope stability;
• Erosion protection;
• Insures that the slope will have required values in texture.
