Bioengineering harmonizes the solution of engineering problems with enviornmental ecological principles.

The material is a combination of natural fibres (core and/or straw) that are connected with a net made of a sintetic material (polypropelene) or some natural material (canvas) creating so a biodegradable mat. The mat retains humidity and creates favorable conditions for development of vegetation.

Application: protection, stabilization and recultivation of slopes, river training, shore-line protection etc.
